Ancle tattoos for girls

Especially when young women are not so sure about getting a tattoo (caveat: definitely think about it carefully), they often pick their ancle, as it can easily be covered and the tattoo is carefully hidden there. The ancle can e.g. be the right place for a small flower or a beautiful and romantic little fairy.
Anyhow, be aware that getting a tattoo on your ancle can be a painful experience. As there is only very little fat (thank god) on your ancle, just plain skin covering the bone, getting a tattoo there may hurt a lot more than on any other part of your body.
So you might want to consider getting your tattoo done a little above your ancle where there is more fat to avoid more pain than absolutely necessary.
Whatever you might decide, I have to admit that the ancle is my personal favorite spot for a tattoo on the body as it just looks gorgeous especially if you are wearing high-heels with it and even more so during summer when you don’t need to wear any stockings.
Enjoy!

Small tattoos for girls

As women and girls are in general smaller than men and more delicately built, smaller tattoos are considered more suitable for girls and young women. Moreover women normally show more skin more often and smaller tattoos seem to be more accepted in public.
Only very few women get e.g. a full sleeve tattoo. Most women get one or two smaller tattoos in different areas of their bodies.
The most popular smaller tattoo designs for women are:
1. Butterfly tattoos - very popular, especially among very young girls. Very cute, too.
2. Flower tattoos - flowers are considered very feminine in general so they make a perfect tattoo for girls or young women. Roses, lilies, sunflowers and daisies are among the most pupular flower designs.
3. Fariy tattoos - we all loved tinkerbell and faries are just wonderful designs for young girls. Fairies are young girls themselves (and luckily for them, they always stay young) with magical power - something we all dream of. Perfect as a tattoo.
4. Dolphin tattoos - have a very special meaning, you can read more about it in my blogpost about dolphin tattoos.
5. Tribal tattoos - seem to become the most popular tattoos for young women. Often as tattoos of the lower back (also known as “tramp stamp” - a nasty name for a wondeful place for a tattoo).
6. Heart tattoos - what could be more romantic than a heart tattoo for a girl or young women? Very feminine. Just resist the desire to put the name of your actual boyfriend to the heart. You know: Boyfriends may come and go but your (heart) tattoo will stay with you a lifetime.

Allergic reactions to your girly tattoo

It doesn’t really matter if you are a guy or a girl and what kind of tattoo you are getting. Allergic reactions can happen to everybody.
It doesn’t happen as often as one might think, but it happens. As experience shows, mostly allergic reactions are caused by the colors red and yellow or colors which contain red and yellow. It can be that an allergic reaction will not happen right after you got the tattoo but many weeks or even years later. Your body changes and so may your allergic status, and one day, all of a sudden you react allergic to your tattoo or, to be exact, to the ink that has been used.
How do you know that you have an allergic reaction?
In most cases an ink allergy will be itchy and raised only in certain spots of the particular color and irritations will remain with you for a longer period of time. Special ointments may solve the problem or, for serious cases, a medical perscription or even the complete removal of the tattoo may be necessary.
But, don’t panic - as mentioned right in the beginning, those kind of skin reactions do not happen very often.
Anyhow, just to make sure you are safe, you might consider to see a dermatologist before getting a tattoo. And if you tend to have allergic reactions to many things, you might stick with a black tattoo and/or non-chemical colors.

Girly tattoos

Popular girly tattoos are little fairies (e.g. tinkerbell tattoos), cat tattoos, butterfly tattoos and turtle tattoos. All of them look beautiful on girls and young women. Anyhow, before getting an especially girlish looking tattoo, consider that you will not stay 18 or 20 forever. Try to picture yourself as a mature woman - will the cute little fairy on your shoulder still look sexy then? Not very many girly tattoos will add to the good looks of a 50+ woman.
In most cases it is not a very good idea to get the same tattoo as all your girlfriends have, either. You may be very close to them now, but chances are this will not stay the same for the rest of your life. Later on you might regret having decided for an especially fashionable tattoo. Your tattoo will be old-fashioned long before you are.
Tattoos for girls do not necessarily have to be girly tattoos. If you feel more comfortable with a tribal, a cross or any other design - go for it.
“Think before you ink” is an important statement when it comes to tattoos for girls. As a tattoo, no matter what design you will decide on, will stay with you and on your body most likely for a lifetime, it sure is wise to get as much information as possible before getting a tattoo .
When it comes to design, the most important thing is, that you will feel comfortable with it for a long period of time, hopefully forever. A tattoo should never be anything you will regret later on but something that means something to you and something to be proud of. Check out wonderful and unique tattoo designs over here.
